How Sweet the Sound

How Sweet The Sound is a new community singing group in the Northern Illawarra
for all those who would like to enjoy singing together in a quiet, friendly setting.

Those with cognitive decline and their carers are especially welcome.

No skill or experience in singing is necessary!

How Sweet The Sound meets once a month for a time of fun and social interaction for members of our local community, particularly people living with dementia and their carers, relatives and friends.

We’re not rehearsing for performances; we’re simply singing together because we enjoy music and the company of others, and we know how encouraging and beneficial this can be for everyone.

Each session we will sing a mix of familiar popular songs and favourite hymns,
followed by a BYO lunch and a chat over a cuppa.

WHERE:  St David’s Anglican Church, 3 Roxburgh Ave, Thirroul.

WHEN:  The last Wednesday of each month from 11am–1pm beginning 25th February 2026.

BYO lunch; tea & coffee provided.
