According to the bible, pastors of a church are called to lead (1 Timothy 5.17), Nourish (1 Timothy 4.6), Protect (Matthew 18.15-17) and equip (Ephesians 4.11-12) the members of the church.
To enable this to happen effectively each pastor and leader is gven specific oversight over a particular area.
